I wanted to make you aware of some opportunities coming up this summer for you to Connect to God’s Work on a short-term trip. Whether an adult or a whole family we have trip with you in mind that will grow your faith and expand your worldview.
Adults: July 9-16 in Ensenada, Mexico (www.ensenadaproject.org)
Family: July 10-16 in Philippi, West Virginia (http://www.worldvisionusprograms.org/usruralministry.html)
Mexico (adults)
In Mexico you will be working alongside existing churches and ministries to assist in their efforts to build into people’s physical and spiritual lives. In one week you will build a home for a family, help with a children’s program, and visit with Mexican families to pray and to hear from them about God at work in their lives.
The cost of the trip is around $1400 including airfare.
West Virginia (family)
In West Virginia you will be working alongside World Vision workers and ministries as they seek to address the cycle of brokenness and poverty in Appalachia. You and your family will take part in small construction and beautification projects as well as helping out with a summer ministry for local children.
Because each family and child is unique there is no age minimum for children to participate. However, please prayerfully and thoughtfully consider what a seven+ hour car ride and a week of serving alongside other children and adults will look like for your family (and others).
The cost of the trip is $450 per person age 11 and up, $210 per person age 4-10. (No charge under 3 years old). This does not include transportation costs.
