A restless night, slamming thunder, flooding at the doorway, and conversation into the wee hours all made for a tired team come Thursday morning.
But we had our most productive day; by the time we greeted guests for the evening "coffee house" we had settled on the dialogue for our play, nailed our performance of tunes, and had the props ready.
Our kitchen bounty--cakes for coffee house, cookies and candies for the ladies' tea, and 12 dozen eggs scrubbed and hard-cooked for Sunday's picnic--lifted the heart of Kirsten, one of our hosts, as she had been a bit worried.
