As I mentioned in my previous blog entry about the Benevolent Center, we will need your help to make it a successful venture to help those in the community. As this center develops, we will need volunteers and to serve in five specific areas:
1) Intake Team. These volunteers will serve as the front line of the center; to call or meet with clients to gather their information. They will initiate the journey of restoration for clients by offering mercy and setting expectations for how the restorative process should work.
2) Crew 318. These volunteers will help with handyman work, like mowing lawns, cleaning gutters, and fixing odds and ends for people in need.
3) Care and Comfort. These volunteers will help with things like making meals or sending encouraging notes for people in need.
4) Non-perishable food and toiletries. Donations are tentatively scheduled to be collected mid-summer and early Fall.
5) Renovation Work. We will begin converting the facilities into useable space by mid-summer and could use volunteers with construction and decorating skills.
