Divine Delay

Today was a tad bit surreal.  Our surroundings are not quite what you'd expect on this type of trip.  But then again we didn't expect half the world's travel to be shut down by a volcano in Iceland.

(Matt commented that maybe "we should just evacuate Iceland and then sink it.")

It was a nice day.  We're in a nice hotel that afforded us the opportunity to rest, formulate a plan, and get cleaned up.  Baths were actually taken.  I won't name names but she deserved the bath!

And just for clarity's sake, we have three rooms.  One of which is Carol's so she's living it up all by herself after spending a week with the six of us and our issues.

Some great things have come out this "delay" already:

I received an email from someone who put me in touch with a guy from our "company" here in the city.
We'll call him in the morning to see if we can meet up.
Who knows what the Lord has in store  but it's a good contact to have for sure.

We also met a guy who speaks English and Turkish and is willing to help us.  When our credit card didn't work for some reason he actually bought some supplies for us.

And then Paul got talking to a woman in the lobby who is from Seattle.  They have a flight reserved for Tuesday for two that they're probably going to cancel.  They said they would contact us first so we could let Air France know we wanted their spots.  So we'll see.
God remains faithful.

We truly believe that God is working here in us and through us for some reason and we're all keeping our eyes open for opportunities to share the good news.  And it's not a forced feeling either...it's really the Spirit working in us and through us.  I can tell.

Thank you for joining us on this journey.

Good night!
