We landed in Istanbul this morning with all of the team and all of the luggage we're carrying for our international workers.
Obviously our flight was canceled from Turkey to Paris to Philly. We talked with Air France and they had good news! A flight is available for us...on THURSDAY the 23rd.
Currently we are in a hotel figuring a good night's sleep and some decent food is a good thing to get our heads clear. There's been talk of a trains, planes, and even boats that may or may not be quicker or more financially adventagious.
We are on the 17th floor with a view of Istanbul and its many minarets. It's beautiful really.
But our hearts are at home with our families. Please pray especially for our spouses who are at home with children missing their parents.
As the leader I feel terrible about all of this, though I obviously know I cannot control a volcano.
Pray we make the right decision if we are to change our plans before the next available flight on Thursday.
