We started our first full day with a tour of Ensenada visiting local hillside neighborhoods. The morning was spent in anticipation of the 12:00 pm. church service. The long walk to the church was 2 doors away, where the local participants warmly greeted us. Our limited ability to speak and understand Spanish was quickly overcome by smiles and handshakes. The church service took a mere 3 hours. The music was awesome!! The service included...testimonies, blessings, and several accepting Christ for the first time..which was a time of great celebration for the local believers. The pastor was extremely passionate in his delivery of the message!! The evening consisted of VBS preparation and bonding with another NJ group from Fair Lawn. The groups will come together to present the VBS program which includes skits, a puppet show, crafts, games and worship praising God.
