Ensenada Short-term Trip

I am very happy to say that another short-term team has left the building.  Yesterday at 5:15AM we gathered in the FAC parking lot to send a team to Ensenada, Mexico.  They are working with Rick and Tammie Romano of the Christian and Missionary Alliance.

This week they will be doing some construction with existing churches, VBS with local kids, and some prayer and visitation ministry.

We are praising God that all the bags made it (including puppets stuffed into random suitcases), the groups successfully met up (they left in two groups), and the drive from San Diego went well.

Throughout the week I will try to update as often as I get news from the team.  Here is an email from trip leader Paul DiPascale:

"Ensenada Day 1

Our testimony was visible right from the beginning. The yellow mission shirts the team wore with FAC's logo, Baja map, and the team's verse Philippians 2: 1-13 invited positive feedback from believers and non-believers alike. Before we crossed the Tijuana border by van we ate our last American meal at the In and Out Burger (what a palace). The unbelievable non humid weather is a delight to our spirits. Our drive to the mission site paralleled beautiful coastal views. We arrived safely and went through a brief orientation with Tammi and Rick Romano and are now ready to face the next days activities."
