Ensenada Days 6 + 7

(Family Receiving Their Home)
Pictures and words can hardly describe the various emotions we have been experiencing team wide this week.  Our days at the construction site, home visitations, VBS, and the completion of the home all touched and blessed us in ways we could never have imagined.

For example on one of the home visitations John, Peggy and Diane along with Sammy and one of the interns witnessed a young women coming to Christ.  After seeing and experiencing the needs of the Mexicans we will be able to pray more effectively and specifically for needs we have come to understand.  In our last debrief Lucy expressed to the group that through this experience it will enable her to be bolder in her witness to those around her.

As a team, we are encouraged by the sacrifices Rick and Tammie and the interns have made to spread the love of Christ through the Ensenada Project (www.ensenadaproject.com).  Their mission is to create long term changes through short term teams like us, by building homes and hosting VBS at the local churches.  We are humbled and grateful for their service to the people of Mexico.  The faces of all those we met will forever be etched in our hearts and minds.

From Jim:
The team drives/flies out today from Ensenada to San Diego and then on to Philly.  Please pray everything goes well.
