Many of you know Ben and Kristy Williams, our missionaries serving in Lviv, Ukraine. They will be here at FAC in a few weeks. Here is their newest update:
Philippians 4:13 I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.
It's official! Baby Marissa was born, healthy and safely at 8:02pm on Tuesday, August 3, 2010, after Kristy was induced around 8am that morning. What a God-ordained process! We were anxious about the unknown and excited to meet our little girl. She was 6 lbs. 13 oz. Her length is almost 21 inches.She is beautiful, alert, and quiet. It's only been about 16 hours, but we're transitioning to parenthood and it's incredible.
Thank you for all your prayers. We know that this entire pregnancy and birth was in the Lord's hands and in His timing. We're simply called to raise Marissa in the ways of the Lord, to abide daily in Christ, not trying to live apart from Him; and to live in the power and strength of the Holy Spirit, who guides us every step of the way.
Enjoy Psalm 121 we've been praying for Marissa. Please also pray for a rapid bodily recovery for Mom, for Marissa to adjust to this world in a healthy, safe way, and for us to get all the documents we need in order to bring her back to Ukraine in September.
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills— where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber 4 indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life;
8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
